We are planning to make apple butter at the West Virginia Heritage Day on May 23. This event will be held at The Village of Barboursville Elementary. The event will give us an opportunity to display our club's heritage and to demonstrate how to make apple butter, which will be for sale.
Ralph May, former Marshall University quarterback, was our guest speaker. He inspired us to recruit members into our club to help serve our community.

*Hosting Spring and Fall Pancake Breakfasts

We wish to thanks all of our Lions and Leos who worked the spring pancake breakfast on May 10. We served 239 adults and 14 children. We cleared approximately $1500 from this project. This money will help our club to fund two scholarships for Cabell Midland High School seniors who will receive the John T. Fife Memorial Scholarship and the Willis Hertig/Claude Thornburg Memorial Scholarship.
